A locking nut is necessary when using a Floyd Rose Gotoh GE1996T tremolo.
Before tuning the guitar, release the lock on the locking nut. After precise tuning with the tuning machines at the head of the guitar, lock the locking nut. Thanks to the double lock at the locking nut and tremolo, your guitar will stay in tune even after using the tremolo arm.
